One Year Ago Today: Philip Beesley

Dezeen Magazine has a “One Year Ago” feature that today highlights Philip Beesley’s contribution to the Canadian pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2010. Beesley is a Toronto-based architect who has designed spaces and buildings around Ontario.  The piece, “Hylozoic Ground”, is immersive and responsive to its environment, and demonstrates the avante-garde use of materials the new wave of Canadian architecture has become known for.
